The Methow is an enticing river that offers a vast array of fish including Rainbow and Cutthroat trout, Bull trout and Steelhead. This exciting fishery is located in the North Central part of Washington State. The Methow is a smaller river, offering both wade fishing as well as float fishing from a raft. Raft fishing will allow you to reach water that is very difficult to access on foot. The summer trout season is fantastic, which usually runs from late May-September. The Methow does have a fall steelhead season, but this is dependent on the number of wild and hatchery steelhead that make it over Wells Dam each year. Typically. the steelhead season will run October- March. The Methow river offers beautiful views as well as an abundance of wildlife.
The Dry dropper fishing has been very good lately.
The flows are getting lower and lower on the Method right now, getting too skinny to float right now, the cooler weather should help the fishing. Just remember that there could be a n emergency closure any day now, so check regulations.
