Access fishing on Grand Ronde Road follows all the way along river, lots of turn outs

What to Fish : smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, steelhead

 Grande Ronde River Description

A tributary to the Snake River , Grande Ronde River is a  freestone river with moderate flows t. Hot during the summer with water temps to 80 degrees. Switch to smallmouth when you get these conditions. Hoppers imitations are good for trout later in the day, caddis wet and dry also.

Steelhead fishing starts October through Apr. 15 when regulations closes this fishery. From June through September there is excellent fishing for rainbow trout and smallmouth bass. Lower reaches of the river favor bass and higher reaches favor rainbows.
