Lake Cuyama  A boat ramp, is located on the west side, also  boat rentals,   café, bait shop, Campgrounds are  at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park.  Hey watch out : boats under 10 or over 22 in length are not permitted.

Big bass tend to draw anglers to most lakes in SoCal, but Cuyamaca is really unique is its trout fishing.  Its up at  4,620 feet and if you like trout this is the best lake around the southern area of the state. Its high elevation encourages the DFG to plant a lot of rainbows here, with some large trout surviving each year. During the cooler month head to Fletcher island (on foot walk across the dam) to get trout…
Contact: Lake Cuyamaca,(760) 765-0515

Summer you can catch planted catfish and bluegill galore, but bass are only medium size as a rule.
