Lake Miramar has the usual City of San Diego facilites boat ramp, boat rentals, picnic tables area, concession, bait, and tackle Contact: San Diego Water Department, (619) 668-2050;San Diego City Lakes, (619) 465-3474. Special note: The lake is open Saturday through Tuesday ii months of the year, and closed in October.

Fishing Lake Miramar: , Miramar at 160 acres is small but makes big bass. It is a tiny lake, covering just 162 acres, and they feast on the trout planters and the native shad. You do well to throw imitations of both of these baits.

The lake is weed covered on the bottom, so try a plastic worm on split shot. Fish for trout in November where the water pump is located on our fishing map

There is also good bluegill fishing here.
